Home Fibre (NBN): Setup Costs

For home fibre (NBN) connections, a discounted setup fee applies as listed in the table below and a 24 month contract term applies. If you cancel your service during the initial 24 month period, you are liable for an early cancellation charge. This charge is $195 in the first 18 months and reduces to to $95 for the remaining 6 months.

Other Costs
 

Reconnection Fee	If you move address (even within the same apartment building) the broadband service will need to be reconnected for it to continue working. Reconnection is subject to service availability in your area.	$95
Line Speed Change	If you wish to change your plan and the speed of the connection must be changed to do so, there is a Line Speed Change fee.	$40
Disconnection Fee	This fee applies whether you are under contract or not. If you have to disconnect a service that was connected within 12 months we are charged an early disconnection fee which we must pass on.	$95
Static IP Address	A static IP address is provided at no charge with our Metro-E Business plans. A static IP address is not available on a Metro-E Home plan.	n/a

Excess Data Usage
Data usage is measured on either the user's download or upload, which ever is greater.
Once customer's usage reaches the Data limit, the speed of the connection will be reduced to 128kbps on the downstream link and 64kbps on the upstream link.
Each account includes a free 10 hours of backup dial-up Internet on request.
